"He's no Superman"

Film: The Indestructible Man (1956)

Alias: The Butcher

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: At this point, resurrecting people is a fool's errand. It's never worked out for anyone ever in movies, and it will certainly not benefit anyone if your dead guy happens to be an unabashed crook like Charles Benton. Oh, what's that? You figured out how to make the dead immortal? You idiot.

History: If Charles "The Butcher" Benton was guilty of half the robberies and murders he committed, he'd still be on death row. And that's exactly what happened when he got the gas. However, a slightly mad scientist thought that his cadaver would make for a perfect testing as whether he could find a cure for cancer. Some chemicals and watts upon watts of electricity later, Benton was back on his feet, albeit with his voice box completely burned out and impervious to all known pain. But he retained his memory and intelligence, and he proceeded to go on a revenge-induced rampage against all who wronged him.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After getting a rocket to the side and his face incinerated by a flamethrower, Benton is chased to the top of a gantry. Unfortunately for him, the gantry's hook catches on a live wire, electrocuting the structure and overloading Benton with electricity, burning him to ashes.

Powers/Abilities: Benton has gained immense strength and complete invincibility to just about every weapon conceived.

Weakness: While electricity has powered him, too much at a time can cause him to burn out.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Benton was a hardened killer even before he got reanimated, so any chance of survival in his presence is completely moot. The best option would be to trap him somewhere for eternity, but other than that, there is only doom.

Trivia: -Benton's muteness was rather telling of the future of his actor, Lon Chaney Jr., who would go on to battle throat cancer.

-The film was mostly based on narrative crime dramas like Dragnet.

"OW! OW! OW!"

Whips? Oh, body.

"Fire bad!"

Try not to stare.

You certainly look different, Chaney.
